Indiana University President Michael A. McRobbie got a sneak peek at the work in progress at four construction projects on the Bloomington campus with Tom Morrison, vice president of capital planning and facilities.
The facilities they toured included the Sidney and Lois Eskenazi Museum of Art, Wilkinson Hall, Swain Hall and IU Golf Course.
At the Eskenazi Museum of Art, which is currently undergoing renovations that are slated to be completed this winter with the museum opening in fall 2019, McRobbie took a look at the work being done to revitalize the existing 119,318-gross-square-foot museum, which will reinforce access to the museum’s vast collections, facilitate connections to the academic curriculum, and enhance visitors’ experiences in the museum.

The hard hat tour also included the new Wilkinson Hall facility, which will be home to IU’s volleyball and wrestling teams and renovations to the IU Golf Course located on the Indiana 45/46 bypass.
McRobbie also took a look at the addition connecting Swain West and Swain East on Third Street where exterior work on the south face of the addition is being completed.
