President McRobbie thanks faculty and staff with holiday open houses, alumni with video

On Wednesday, Nov. 29, IU President Michael A. McRobbie and Provost Lauren Robel hosted a winter holidays open house for IU Bloomington faculty and staff to show appreciation for their service to the university.

The party took place in Alumni Hall and Solarium at the Indiana Memorial Union and featured a performance by a live quartet, hot apple cider, appetizers and desserts.

On Tuesday, Dec. 5, McRobbie joined IUPUI Chancellor Nasser Paydar in hosting IUPUI faculty and staff for an annual holiday party at the Campus Center. Guests were greeted with live music, heavy hors d'oeuvres and festive hot cocoa.

President McRobbie also joined forces with Provost Robel, Chancellor Paydar and IU First Lady Laurie Burns McRobbie to create a holiday greetings video sending well wishes to IU's alumni located around the globe.

"Throughout the world, the holidays are a time to gather, celebrate and look ahead," McRobbie said in the video.

"We send you our warmest regards. Thank you for all that you do for Indiana University, and happy holidays," the first lady adds.
