Indiana University campuses awarded more than 20,000 degrees, a record number, at seven campuses during commencement ceremonies May 5 to 14. During the two IU Bloomington undergraduate commencement ceremonies, the campus bestowed 6,913 undergraduate degrees upon the Class of 2017.

IU President Michael A. McRobbie addresses the Class of 2017 during the afternoon undergraduate commencement ceremony. The IU Bloomington class of 2017 included graduates from 96 different countries, from all 50 states and the District of Columbia, and from 89 of Indiana’s 92 counties. The oldest graduate was 64, the youngest 19, and among the weekend’s graduates were 17 sets of twins.
