IU President Michael A. McRobbie presents Pauline Yu with an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree. Yu is one of the foremost scholars in the field of Chinese and comparative literature, and she has been a pioneer in promoting the study and understanding of the broad historical canon of Chinese poetry in contemporary times.
Pauline Yu, who is a senior adjunct research scholar and visiting professor in East Asian languages and cultures at Columbia University, delivers the IU Bloomington graduate commencement address.
