Tobias Pavilion Inaugural Event

Randall and Deborah Tobias provided funding to build The Tobias Pavilion, which overlooks the new IU Prebys Amphitheater. The inaugural event was held following the November 30th IU Trustees meeting. The Tobias Pavilion was built as an addition to Bryan House on the IU Bloomington campus.

Guests attending the inaugural Tobias Pavilion event were the first to see six paintings by Indiana artist T. C. Steele and one painting by Steele’s fellow Hoosier Group artist J. Ottis Adams on display together in the Bryan House. Two of the paintings are on display in Tobias Pavilion.

The new enclosed Tobias Pavilion overlooks the Jordan River and the new IU Prebys Amphitheater. Former IU President Herman B Wells envisioned an outdoor amphitheater on the IU Bloomington campus, and now his vision has come to fruition.
