IU President Michael A. McRobbie takes a tour of the newly renovated IU Natatorium. Completed in five phases over the span of 21 months, critical renovations included enhanced interior design and widening of the diving tower as well as a new roof, heating and cooling system, pool deck, pool filtration system, lighting, skylights, bulkheads, and starting blocks; new doors, windows and drywall in the east and west concourses; an expanded pro shop; modernized locker rooms; and other mechanical repairs.

Prominent leaders, Olympians and community members gathered to celebrate the grand reopening of the IU Natatorium, which took on new life as a result of an extensive $20 million renovation project. The renovation of the nationally renowned, world-class aquatics destination in the heart of the IUPUI campus was completed in time to host the 2016 U.S. Olympic Team Trials for Diving, June 18 to 26.
