Strengthening Engagement in Mexico
IU President Michael A. McRobbie (left) met with Enrique Graue Wiechers, president of the National Autonomous University of Mexico. During the meeting in Mexico, the two leaders agreed to explore further areas of collaboration between their respective institutions.
IU President Michael A. McRobbie (left) listens as Enrique Graue Wiechers, president of the National Autonomous University of Mexico, talks about his university. IU's relationship with National Autonomous University of Mexico dates back to 1999, when collaboration began between the university and the Ostrom Workshop in Political Theory and Policy Analysis at IU. The workshop was co-founded in 1973 by the late Nobel Prize-winning economist and IU Distinguished Professor Elinor Ostrom.
IU President Michael A. McRobbie meets with U.S. Ambassador to Mexico Roberta S. Jacobson to discuss, among other subjects, IU's increased collaboration with National Autonomous University of Mexico. IU has identified Mexico as one of 30 "priority" countries the university is seeking to enhance relations with as it carries out the mission of its international strategic plan.
