The reception and dinner was the official launch of the IU Alumni Association's Mexico chapter, which was held at Peter and Leslie Tattersfield's home. Peter Tattersfield earned a B.S. from IU Bloomington in 1985.

During the formal program, IU President Michael A. McRobbie presided over a successful inauguration of the university's new Mexican alumni chapter. President McRobbie presented the chapter's president, Peter Tattersfield (left), with a gift and recognized the chapter's alumni leadership. IU has nearly 10,000 Latino alumni, including almost 500 alumni affiliated with Mexico.
