IU President Michael A. McRobbie visited the IU Southeast campus and area businesses as part of his statewide tour of Indiana. Dubbed “McRobbie on the Move,” the tour is meant to highlight IU’s connections to the state as a whole, as well as the university’s regional campuses, and further strengthens relationship with business, community and government leaders and local media.

President McRobbie toured the River Ridge Commerce Center in Jeffersonville, Indiana. The site formerly featured the Indiana Army Ammunition Plant, which manufactured gunpowder during World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. Since the plant has been shuttered, there has been a rise in development on the site.
